RFID tag technology and its application problems and Countermeasures

We can't simply talk about the breakthrough of a certain technology and the reduction of the cost of a certain RFID product. In this regard, our market and enterprises must evaluate the cost of using products and the benefits it brings

Here, there are two aspects corresponding to the single arm structure: the portal structure is worthy of attention. At the same time, the advanced operating system must have the interface to communicate with the existing PC operating system and the interface function to communicate with the Internet. However, in terms of use and purpose, such products are unlikely to appear in the short term, so label printing enterprises must seize this favorable opportunity to keep up with the pace of economic globalization and seek future space for enterprise development in the international market

2. Formulate and promote unified international standards

although European and American standards epcgiobal and Japanese standard uid have been used in formulating standards, they are still in the primary stage, and the standards are incompatible with each other, and the international organization for Standardization ISO is also formulating international unified RFID tag system standards. In the process of formulating standards, China either independently formulates its own RFID tag standards, or recognizes the standards of Europe, America or Japan. But these are not the best international development strategies. Although setting standards by ourselves can save enterprises a lot of standard royalties, China is becoming the "manufacturing center" of the world, and many products have to be exported to the international market. We can't expect the international market to support China's RFID label standards. Therefore, we'd better actively support and participate in the formulation of RFID tag standards organized by ISO, and more combine the demands and interests of Chinese enterprises with the ISO standard system, so as to lay a foundation for Chinese enterprises to seek a larger international market

1. Adverse effects on human body and environment as an electronic product, the extensive use of RFID tags will inevitably have side effects. Chinese enterprises should support the formulation of Chinese standards on the adverse effects of RFID tags on human body and the environment, and continue to support the research and development of new "green" RFID tags with core intellectual property rights. Don't get involved when RFID "green" products are widely required internationally. At that time, we will be very passive and suffer great losses

the influence of electromagnetic radiation on human body determines the spectrum and signal power that RFID tags can use, and even determines whether their working mode is passive or active, the working mode of readers, transmission power and other important parameters. When RFID tags are widely used, such as large shopping places, people may be trapped in a dangerous environment full of electromagnetic radiation, which may bring damage to people's health. For people who have long been in contact with RFID, they may suffer from rare diseases. Therefore, these requirements should be reflected in the RFID standard in the form of special requirements, and this part of the requirements in the expanded RFID standard should be supplemented according to the continuous application data and new discoveries

the impact of RFID tags on the environment is mainly the impact of electromagnetic radiation and material releases on air, water, plants, animals, etc. In addition, the impact of electromagnetic radiation on public communication of RFID tags for long-distance applications also needs people's attention, which can also be included in the specifications required by relevant standards

2. Recycling and reuse of RFID tags

3. personal privacy and public security

rfid tags use information interaction technology. With its application in human body, medical treatment and manufacturing industry, the application field of RFID tag shows a trend of expansion. The interaction and use of information may involve issues of personal privacy and public security. Therefore, we should make principled provisions on its use mode in legislation or relevant management norms. For example, in the field of commodity circulation, RFID tags should be invalid or recycled after individuals purchase products. RFID tags used for identifying objects tracking and valuables management should not spread the privacy or personal information of users or units. Only special authorities, such as public security departments, have the right to deal with them within the scope permitted by law. At the same time, it is strictly forbidden to use procedural methods to mark, track and count the behavioral characteristics of individuals or minorities in the RFID tag system. Especially in the international standard of RFID tags, there should be a public agreed code of conduct to protect private privacy and ensure public safety, which is the embodiment of the humanization of the standard. Violators can be punished through standards organizations. Serious cases will be punished by law

4. how to face the problem of unemployment

rfid tag application has obvious benefits, but its large-scale application may cause the problem of unemployment. In this regard, the author believes that the government and enterprises should shoulder their own responsibilities and have the following understanding

(2) it is normal to cause unemployment. The purpose of science and technology is to liberate productive forces, liberate workers from the heavy old labor model, and let society have enough human resources to invest in new labor fields

(3) the future society is a service-oriented society. Science and technology can greatly improve the material productivity of society, and can affect the development of culture, art, services and other fields, but it cannot replace the social functions of these fields


the application tide of RFID tags is coming. Facing the problems that have appeared and may appear in the future, people should be prepared psychologically and cognitively. We welcome RFID tags, but more importantly, we should not only make it play a positive role, but also reduce and prevent its negative impact on society
